What is Chiropractic in Oak Creek?
Commonly, many simply associate Chiropractic with the treatment of back pain or headaches. Truth be told, Chiropractic is far more inclusive and beautiful. The nervous system controls everything going on in your body at any given time. A Chiropractor's job is to locate areas of misalignment throughout the spine and then proceed to perform an "adjustment" to alleviate hindrance to the nerves. The power to promote realignment is like opening a floodgate; allowing for proper communication from the brain to every organ, tissue, and cell of the human body. This means that Chiropractic is multi-faceted! Voluntary (muscular) commands and involuntary (organ) functions are treatable. As a result, not only is pain in the neck, back, and head relieved... but arms, legs, elbows, knees, feet, ankles, and hips can be adjusted also. Anxiety can be diminished, digestive efficiency may increase, and even issues such as ear infections often respond very well to Chiropractic adjustments in Oak Creek.
Our Methods
CBP (Chiropractic Biophysics) - Uses gravitational angles to encourage compliance of the spine to proper alignment. We use items such as the Denneroll by Chiropractic Biophysics to increase the efficiency of adjustments at the office and give you something you can do on your own to improve alignment. Time after time, the partnership between CBP methods and adjustments proves to maximize progress here at Hyatt Chiropractic.
Adjustments (The Gonstead Method) - Manipulations of the spine to allow for proper signaling from the brain to the rest of the body. The word "chiropractic" is from the Greek root, "cheiro," -hand and "practikos" -workable. Our philosophy is centralized around the beauty and power of hands-on, 100 percent natural treatment. When an adjustment is made, great care is taken to ensure a bio-mechanically correct position and precise thrust to provide the most accurate and painless adjustment possible. It is the goal of your Gonstead doctor to restore and maintain optimal health by locating and correcting any interference to the nervous system caused by vertebral subluxation. Dr. Hyatt is Gonstead-certified for cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and pelvic adjustments.
The Activator Method (Ltd.) - The Activator Method Chiropractic Technique® is a gentle diagnostic and treatment system used to treat back pain, neck pain, and headaches, and swelling across the body.
The Activator Method uses a small, hand-held instrument to deliver a gentle impulse force to the spine with the goal of restoring motion to the targeted spinal vertebra or joint.
It is an alternative to the traditional form of adjustments known as the high velocity low amplitude (HVLA) thrust. This method is often used per request of the patient, or at the discretion on Dr. Hyatt in some cases.
